When You Give It Your All!!

I took 58 photographs today and thought long and hard about which one to 'blip', I had thought of the one of Joshua receiving his Man Of The Match award at his rugby but decided that this one is what Sunday is all about.

Sunday in our house follows a set routine, no matter what time Clare and I are in bed on the Saturday we get up, whilst I shower Clare makes coffee and bacon sandwiches, out of the shower I wake up Joshua. He dresses in his kit, breakfast and then he and I are off to wherever he is playing, today he was at home v Perranporth. The score was irrelevant, they won, but he played his socks off. After ten minutes other Dads were asking what Josh had had for breakfast, whatever it was he must have just decided it was his day. For forty minutes he never stopped running, rucking and mauling, he competed for everything and ran himself into the ground.

At the post match wash up the coaches praised the whole team for outastanding effort and play but they and the parents had voted unanimously for Joshua.

Following the match Joshua , after showering was joined by the Neoprene Penguin for a Subway lunch, after eating it he finished up in the dogs bed hence the photograph, one very tired and very happy little boy.

Somewhat groggily he ate his dinner, spoke to his Nan in London and tottered off to bed. Tomorrow he will wake up with aches and pains from his efforts and being trodden on today but tonight he is happy and contented, the happiness and contentment that comes from hard physical effort and knowing that you gave your all and did your best.
