a life in photos

beeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz

On the way to work this morning, I spotted these lovely flowers in the paddock - chickory flowers - they are a lovely blue/purple and range in colour from bush to bush.

But it wasn't the flowers that really attracted me, it was the mass of little honey bees on them, tucking into the pollen. Some were so covered in pollen you couldn't tell the colour of the bee, some had obviously been back to the hive, and were all nice and clean ready to collect again.

Had great fun capturing them in their various states of pollen collecting, so here's a wee selection of the hardest workers out on this lovely sunny canterbury day.
