The Potteries

Early start today, partly thanks to the dog barking when the eldest came in at 7am! Also because J9 wanted to head down to Stoke on Trent to get some clay & glazes to keep her busy over the summer.

On the wall at the factory they have loads of these little tiles, each just a couple of centimetres across, all glazed different ways to show how they turn out when fired. I couldnt resist the colours, the repetition and the cool reflection of the terraced houses opposite.

The rain on the motorway was shocking, people drove like arses, so we saw two crashes! At the risk of sounding like an old fart, do people not get it? If its raining slow down & dont get too close! Ah Well.
