This is where we camped on our way home from Joe's race yesterday. Cathedral Ranges State Park, a beautiful rocky escarpment with lots of walking opportunities. This was our first visit since the Black Saturday fires of 2009 in which 173 people perished. What a tragedy. We also called in at Marysville for the first time, a beautiful town that felt the full force of the fire. Of course it has changed beyond recognition but it is wonderful to see some of the rebuilding that has and still is taking place.
Greg and I were talking about how different this summer feels. We have had lots of rain this past year and over the hot weather, so everything is so green and lush. Sooooo different to a few years back when on the days over 30 we would seriously have to discuss our bushfire survival plan. Hopefully the rains will continue over the summer so we can have continuing peace of mind.

We camped here, at Cook's Mill in our swags. It was glorious watching the night sky as we lay in bed! I am definitely happiest when camping!
