Peachy Beachy Birthday
Well, after a couple of days of rain, any small amount of sunshine has you heading for the beach here. A gathering of 18 children and five adults to celebrate the big '5' of a friends child today.
After the recent bad weather I fully expected the water to have cooled down a bit but she was just a beautiful as ever, however, a bit of a wind was still about making it a bit chillier on the bits that got wet. Also, the ocean was extremely dirty as this portion of beach is a direct landing zone for debris that exits the river mouth right to the left of it...lots of wood debris lining the edge of the water....still, we had a good go at it, we are coasters after all.
Sossies on the portable grill after the water play....would of been better with a beer or wine, but I'll go outside after this and have one while watching the sun go down to make up for the lapse.
Blipfoto for today is taken at Westport North Beach (tiphead end), West Coast of the SI, New Zealand. It's looking off to the right of the beach, you can see clouds lining the top of the 'hills', yes I know they're mountains, I've been told before that New Zealanders use of the term 'hills' when they are mountains can be quite frustrating....anyway, those ranges extend well off to the left of the picture, and can make for some gorgeous pictures in the right conditions...one day, I'll get a good one.
