Maneki Neko - Fortune Beckoning Cat

The Japanese Zodiac was imported from Ancient China. There are 12 animals, with one animal allocated to every year. However, a cat is not included in there. I've heard many stories about how the cat was excluded. One story says a rat which was the first animal to be selected had set the cat up so the cat was late in arriving, and that's the reason why cats hate rats... hahaha

Anyway, this cat is displayed at most of shops or restaurants even at home to pray for good luck, especially for money and good business.

The cat which raises its right hand invites money.
The cat which raises its left hand invites a visitor.
A white cat means good luck.
A black cat means good health.
A gold cat means good fortune and big money.
A yellow cat in west means big money by Feng shui.
