Aquarius Discotheque

Went to a friends 40th Birthday party tonight. The DJ looked like Jim Royal and he was fab (but not fab enought to tempt me onto the dancefloor), playing lots of cheesy tunes and growling into the microphone about nothing whatsoever.

Highlight of the night for me was when the old dear behind the bar asked me if I had any I.D!!! I could have leapt the bar and kissed her! When I told her I was nearly 29 she peered at me through her thick glasses (and it was pretty dark in there) and mumbled something about her eyes not being what they used to be and promptly served me. Ah well. It was nice while it lasted.
