Silliness
That's how some of us cope with life.
We p*ss-take things that annoy or frustate us.
We mock our own frailties and problems.
And if we're a writer or creative person we satirize things that we can't talk about or we feel ineffective at changing.
Some people get it and some people find it irritating. The weird thing is that those that find silliness irritating don't seem to realise that many silly people are being quite clever - they're saving others from their own darkness.
I took this photo earlier for a blog post today, which is here:
A Voice released: Boxes and Labels and I was moved by the humour surrounding the words and what they meant to a man who was prevented by my mother from throwing anything away and had to joke about it even though at times it drove him mad.
I also find how struck I am by seeing handwriting after someone has died.
Every time I see my Dad's handwriting I notice how alive and full of movement it looks.
Silly and funny but dark and frustrating.
Haven't done much today other than write that blog post, do a load of washing and clean the kitchen. My study-avoidance is getting ridiculous now. I don't know what's wrong with me.
I might go outside and look at the stars even though it's bloomin' freezing.
Oh - and I made a curry too. Don't tell anyone but I tasted it before I put it in the oven and found it a little bitter so I added tomato ketchup. It worked a treat! Shhh...
