Sunny day on Whalsay

It was a sunny, calm day - such a great pleasure - and we had a lovely walk up Ward of Clett - the highest point on Whalsay at 393 feet. We then followed a signpost to a beach and enjoyed walking back along the cliffs. The views all around were stunning and it has been difficult to choose a blip!

The photo is from the top of Ward of Clett looking down to the harbour at Symbister. Two of the large, very large, pelagic trawlers can be seen dominating the harbour - Zephry is dark blue and Charisma is yellow. One of the ferries is on her way back to the (Shetland) mainland. The largest building - to the right of Zephyr was built as a home by a local laird, but nowadays is the secondary school.

I've posted some other photos here.
