Reservoir

Chippy and I set of early again to try and get some pictures in this short spell of crisp weather, the best this winter has had to offer, but not quite what we have been used to in recent years.

Anyhow, things were not as good as we hoped and we couldn't stay long enough on a work day to wait for the sunshine to cascade over the ridge. So today, as I already had the shot you all liked best of all my blips. I thought this time I would show Haweswater for what it is: a reservoir serving Manchester.

This is the pier at Mardale with its access road for United Utilities who own the reservoir.
