A new friend
Today was a school holiday for Martin Luther King day. We were trying to come up with something to do today, but it was bitter cold outside.
We decided to head to the shopping mall, something I rarely do. We made a day out of it, getting lunch at the Chinese food place, then window shopping, a bit of time at the kid play area, and ice cream sundaes to finish off the afternoon.
One of the stores we went to is 'Build-a-bear'. If you don't know what it is, it's a little store where kids pick out a 'shell' (no stuffing) of a bear/dog/other animal. Then you take it to a big machine and fill it with fluff, then add a heart inside that you make a wish on. After it gets sewn up, you take it to a 'bath' area, fluff it up, then pick out an outfit for it. You then create a birth certificate and give it a name.
This is Jack and his new friend Patch. Jack made him with love today. He talked to it the whole way home, telling him we were taking him to his new home and even introduced him to Sasha (our dog) when we got home.
Jack insisted I take a picture of them together, which I thought was pretty funny. So, you have another Jack photo today.
