Common Goldeneye Ducks In Bend Oregon
We had a full day of sightseeing in and around the city of Bend. We visited the old Mill District where we ate lunch and watched the Deschutes River, which is one of the few Rivers that flows north. It also has the distinction of a steady flow year round because of the underground springs that feed it. While watching the river I spotted a new breed of duck that I have not photographed yet...the common goldeneye! They are very beautiful and have very distinctive markings!
