Leave a Light On !!

Morning all

Old traditions die hard sometimes.......funny how when a member of our family are out and about we leave a light on for them. In days gone by it would be a candle in the window showing them the way home.....a beacon......not that you'd like to think they'd ever forget.....but they know your there for them too.

When loved ones went off to war, it was traditional for a candle to be lit in the window every night till they returned safe and well....maybe we thought it offered protection for them too, if the candle is burning they had to return.

We maybe dont do this as much, not with the candle anyway, but most of us with young ones leave a light on for them during the night. ;0)

I see this window every day. ;0)

Right.......got a 2,000,000 barrel ship to disconnect and get ready for sailing.......but first, and most importantly.......breakfast beckons !!! ;0)
