Uncanny clouds.......

Got up.....

Sun began to shine.......

By mid-morning, it was beautiful :) It's amazing what a bit of sunshine can do to the spirits!

Decided on a whim that I would go to Golden Bay afterall.........

Packed, arranged cat-sitters, quickly visited friends who were staying with other friends just down the road for a couple of days then got in the car and drove...........

These clouds greeted me as I drove into what I consider to be the most beautiful part of the Bay. I'm sure the geographers could tell us what kind of clouds they are - the only thing I could think of was "stunning"!! Maybe that's why I never pursued Geography past the Upper Sixth!
