so you can balance on a ladder
with your head up the sky's blue arse
but isn't 9.30 a bit early for that
on a cold and frosty morning?

Some people stay up late, mate,
and need a lie in.

Your face looking in at me
(even though your window cleaner eyes
are trained to see nothing)
was a surprise.

I could have been doing anything.
