Shallow Slice of Rock

I mentioned that I was getting a lens that does F1.7, when I was talking about my new camera on Thursday.

Well, I am now in possession of this beautiful, magical thing. And so, wandering around the house in search of objects to subject to a lovely shallow depth of field, I spotted this hanging in the kitchen window.


Edit: Having rhapsodised about the F1.7, I'm now staring in puzzlement at the technical info below this description, which seems to think I was using only F2.5 at the time... Um. Not sure what happened there, but the image is nice and defocused anyway so moving on...
