Unusual sunset

It's been all action on the bird table today.

Huge thrush having an interesting argument with at least four blackbirds. Two collared doves and a stand off against some starlings. A cute little wren making intermittent dives for the bread - and all against the possibility of the return of the sparrowhawk or the eagle eye of the neighbour's black cat.

I took shots - but, as you know, I'm a novice at bird pics (though getting better).

Driving home, the cloud formations were exceptional (but no chance of a shot and it wouldn't have conveyed the oddness either)

In the end, the magic of the sunset won the day.
