Story time with Jack Frost
On a lovely sunny day last September I photographed this magical wood sculpture in the St Ives Estate Here.
It looked the perfect place to sit and listen to a story. Today it has been visited by the severest frost we have had this winter which adds a bit more magic but would make it pretty uncomfortable to sit for any time.
Just a hint of sun through the trees behind as today has been much less sunny but still very cold. They say it will be warmer tomorrow but probably with rain, so I wanted to get out and see the effects of the frost in the estate before it disappears.
Coppice Pond had quite a bit of ice on it but, like the canal yesterday, enough free water for the birds to avoid it.
Thank you all for your hearts and stars for yesterday's sunrise. As usual it was a case of just being in the right place at the right time. I think it is the most stars I have had for any picture. Cheers!
