dog days of winter

despite the mildest winter in memory, last night's snow begs the annual question "when does spring training start?"

does anyone use the photomatix software to create HDR images? i downloaded a free trial and it seems to run fast and smooth, but i don't know if it's worth it to purchase the full version. this was made with the HDR software that comes with photoshop. it didn't do a great job while ghost removal, as the lady walking towards me seems to only have 1 leg.
