Toots in Solitude

Poets

I wonder if there is a collective word for a group of poets?

This is a painting by Alexander Moffat of poets around in the 1960's in a bar in Edinburgh. It doesn't typify a particular bar. I do remember especially these folk gathering in a ritualistic fashion in the likes of Milnes Bar and the Cafe Royal at weekends.
Alexander Moffat painted a portrait of my sister too, I'll have to see if I can track down where it is and have another look at it.

Donald and I spent today with Esther and a very nice day it was too. We took in the newly refurbished Portrait Gallery, a very good nosh at Teuchters in Leith, the Chambers Street Museum and finished off with a coffee at a Starbucks. Great.
