Couldn't help rescuing the calf.
It seems to have responded well to a warm soapy bath so if all goes to plan it will join the animals in the farm set (although I have noticed an increase in legs and other appendiges being snipped off during play).
The small world seems to be a dangerous one.
Maybe I should take the calf home.
