Sage on ice

Sage is one of the best plants you can have in your garden when the weather is frosty. It must be something about the texture of the leaves that makes frost cling to them in this beautiful way.

A day to remember - an inspiring watercolour class in the morning followed by My Week with Marilyn at Stamford Arts Centre Cinema. I was transfixed by the film from beginning to end. I've always been fascinated by Marilyn Monroe and remember the day she died. I was 14 and we had a rare family picnic by the River Nene. Funny how you remember what you were doing on days like this... That was almost 50 years ago, so it's fitting that the film should be on release this year.
