Circles, cycles and seasons.

I took this on our way back from taking mum to have the x ray the hospital had wanted her to have since coming home last year after having pneumonia.
They said the doctor would have the results in about a week.

To give her a bit of a change of scene of a more enjoyable kind we stopped off at a nearby mere to see the ducks that are always there and found to our surprise that there were several Canada Geese there too.

They have no doubt traveled a long way and seemed more interested in preening and sorting their feathers out than being fed. Someone had arrived to throw food but they didn't seem as interested in it as the other birds there.

I liked this one because of the circles in the water. Parts of the mere were iced enough to be walked on by some of the birds which looked odd with other birds swimming past them close by.

The atmosphere was one of serenity brought about by the birds and it was all in all a lovely moment to share with them and with my mum.
