Up In The Air

A peaceful view on an anything but peaceful travel day. I Found out last Friday I would have to make an emergency trip to Augusta. Started the trip with a drive from Madison to Milwaukee and then security was less than smooth. Once we boarded we sat at the gate for a few hours because the FAA decided we weren't cleared to fly because one of the stickers on the outside of the plane was ripped. Even the captain was annoyed as he explained we had to wait for a new sticker to be flown in from Detroit. We did finally take off after deplaning once. The silver lining was that some passengers found other routes so I got bumped to first class. The sky was certainly beautiful though, oblivious to my woes.
