Scottish Culture...
... certainly is strange sometimes. Why do people not eat food together when they go for a drink, like in nearly every other culture in the world? We eat quickly, sometimes not even at a table, then rush off to drink giant glasses of ale. My Spanish friend (left) kept reaching for olives or fried squid, and nothing was there but more glasses.
A fine evening though. My dad (right) turned 55, and we celebrated, post-'Great White Silence' at the Filmhouse, with some fine ales from the Kelburn brewery and a St Lucian rum that was almost like a Speyside... or was it a Campbelltown?...
