Citruses for Doroba SH Cluster
Harisen, William and Brendan, went to Doroba today to bring citrus seedlings to the 200 women and also to fix a pump.
This is our latest departure: working with women, who have , in the past year started Credit Unions, but not as you might know them. There is no outside help except training, advice and inspiration. The cluster of 20 women represents and supports the ten groups they come from. This cluster have asked for our help with Pumps, Preschools and Adult Education. They came to the farm to learn about horticulture and farming. We asked what they would like to grow and the unanimous decision was, strawberries which they brought home and now citruses.
The picture shows the leaders who, in a year have become great business people, and have a loan book, way beyond out wildest imaginings. They lend their saved money to each other within the groups (20 women, or less in each).
Oh, Brendan is an engineer from Ireland, volunteering for a month or two.

John,
We went to Doroba, in Mathambo Mtete village to fix a pumps, and to deriver 200 citruses to self help women for them to plant during this rainy season.
Benedicto will visit them on Friday with 200 more citrus seedlings and to show and explain to the women how to plant the citruses.
