Amaryllis

I am a total failure at houseplants. Really, really bad. I can make plants grow outside, sometimes (although I'm of the "just chuck it in and see what happens" school of thought. which often works, but sometimes doesn't), but indoors it all goes Horribly Wrong. This is why I have no plants in my office, for example - only pictures of plants.
So the fact that this Amaryllis has consented to flower is something of a miracle. It ought to be celebrated as a Hero Amaryllis, surviving against all the odds. And it probably won't last long, so enjoy it while you can....
