Haggis time

A trip to the supermarket this evening. A week today will be Burns Night. That must be an excuse for a dram. Next week that is. I feel a whisky blip coming on.

So with the advent of Burns Night it is time for the shops to stock up with haggis. Next will be Valentine's and then Easter.

Maybe the Scots have managed to sneak in an extra festivity to keep the shops happy. Not to mention hotels al over the world on the hunt for expatriate Scots. There are probably more of those than resident Scots in the homeland.

Most of the Burns Night suppers I have been to were outside Scotland. Possibly not too surprising, distance makes the heart grow fonder. Did Burns say that?

I do like haggis by the way, like robins, it is not only for Burns Night.
