Had a most enjoyable evening with my Stroud friend, Steve, and his pal, Pip, down here in Bristol.

We met at the Hare on the Hill pub in Kingsdown, which is a traditional city hostelry with a very warm welcome and delicious real ale.

It was made even better when a group of musicians turned up to play some Irish music - perfect after a rather trying day at the grindstone.

The picture was taken with my rather special new camera - a Nikon D7000 - but in very dim conditions without flash. I thought it would be interesting to see how it performed at silly ISO levels. As you can see, it's pretty grainy, but it still produced some sort of an image!
