Comfort blankets.
The last few weeks have been, shall we say, eventful.... and today was no exception. Up really early to gt into Ninewells for 8am to get prepped for theatre. Not me, the man... and not doing the op, having it done.
All went well and although, sleepy, sore and bonkers from the meds he is doing just fine. In fact so well that he managed to give me instructions about what to do at work tomorrow (did I mention that he was also my boss?) .
He even managed a laugh when a junior doc came in and mentioned that the man had been on his interview panel. Cheerily the man replied "Well, I'm glad we let you in then!" Said doc came back with, "You didn't, you rejected me - but I don't hold a grudge! " Priceless!
Anyway, am not going to prattle on for long as I'm well and truly knackered. He should be home in a couple of days and I've got tons of stuff to do before then. First on the list is a good night's sleep.
The image: me wrapped up in couch trousers and a hoodie. Warm, soft and sleep inducing. Zzzzzzzzzzz
