Thirst for knowledge

So second photography lesson tonight and learnt about depth of field. Came home and tried this. Not the most exciting photo in the world but at least it shows I got it a bit.

When I looked at some of the examples he showed of using depth of field my heart actuallly started beating a bit faster. It was like being able to unravel a picture and understand how I might be able to create it.
