A Guid Blaw
A busy day today as I would out at Pollok Park with the Third Wednesday girls, always a super day. We had coffee/scones at Pollok House, then walked in the grounds, finished up at the Burrell Collection, where we had a guided tour and talk on Table Manners through the Ages, which was quite fascinating. (Believe me, it was!!!).
Then tonight we were at the Mountaineering Club Burns Supper, a little early this year as Burns Night is not till the 25th, but it is difficult to get speakers around this time, and this was the best we could do this year. It was great, the Toast to the Lassies was hilarious, as was the Reply from the Lassies. The food was excellent, Ham and Lentil Soup, then Steak Pie, Haggis, Tatties and Neeps, then Biscuits and Cheese and tea/coffee. A great night but I am dead beat now. The picture is of Archie, who piped in the Haggis; I could not get a good picture of the 'piping in' so this will have to do instead. Hope you all have had a good day.
