A kiss goodbye
Marzman saying bye to Benne .
This is the first time we've done a longer stay foster. It was sprung on me by surprise but that's OK. He took up way too much time, he kept us at home when we may have gone out , and although he was really good for a 5 week old puppy , there were the pees and poos to clean up. So why would you do this.
We have a lot of folk come by our place, without exception he was a hit. The kittens love him as a play mate, couple of times he was too much for them but nothing they couldnt handle. The ol dog taught him that respect for elders is what you do. No argument. The little dog taught him how you just leave the grumpy ones alone. Nettie was a substitute mother, teaching him when to play and when to stop, just where his place is in the pack and where to go for reassurance.
So given his breed has a reputation as dangerous and he's not supposed to be in public without a muzzle, the hope is we've done a little bit at a critical time of his upbringing and he'll make a fine family pet who is a protector but poses no threat to kids, cats or anyone who is not threatening.
This is probably my last blip with Benne, to keep following his story look for DawgGal , she'll be updating his story with her Friday 2nd chance series.
