Pugney's

Pugney's is a kind of Country Park come activity centre for water sports. It neighbours Sandal Castle. It's also a Standby Point. Standby Points are determined by analysing where incidents have occurred and are therefore, statistically, likely to occur.

The above takes no account of Sod's Law, which in my mind, is as valid as any other. So today was a funny day where we did 4 standby duties. These last for up to 40 minutes. After that we are allowed a comfort break or will have been assigned a detail. We did 2 at Pugney's and 1 each at HQ and Horbury.

People always look and quite a few can be seen to be thinking 'Why are you sat there tossing it off?*.

It's a funny old game but, as cliched as it is, no two days are the same. Today was no exception. Whoops, is that a paradox or something?
