Janet

Janet is a researcher, historian and all-round clever-drawers. Her grandchildren call her Dr Nana (on account of her PhD and grandmotherhood, respectively). She and Anne are usually to be encountered at the regular Friday evening 'meeting' at the local boozer, where much entertaining conversation is had.

I have never known her to be cross, or even mildly snitty - and I've known her (on and off) since about 1974. I consider that an accomplishment. This happy person is who she is, despite everything!

It was her birthday on the 5th (and had the blackbird chicks hatched that day, I was planning to call them all Janet, but they hatched on the 4th...) and since she learned (from me) that when it's your birthday, you get to have your own way all day, she decided to keep her birthday going for a month...
This is her having yet another birthday dinner (with Anne, who is out of focus - I'll catch her another time).

I was tempted to convert to B/W, but then you wouldn't get the benefit of the necklace (love that necklace!) and she does have a lovely colour, doesn't she?

Happy birthday Janet!

I bet you can't guess how old she is.

(Janet is so lovely that she 'bumped' the bower bird, which I had all ready to blip. But you can see that here - complete with blue eye this time.)
