The Weekend Starts Here.

Grandmama and C arrived having already completed a marathon trip round Grandmama's old haunts. We had a quick coffee and toasted tea cake to build up our strength for the afternoon to come.
Bus into the city as all the build up had warned about taking cars in as many roads were to be closed.
There was a huge queue to get into the Albert Dock so we decided that we would do our Ferry trip first.
We arrived with about five minutes to spare to the next sailing. The river was very choppy but so much to see I forgot to feel seasick.
The ferries were taking an extended route down the river as far as the Wellington Dock, where all the large Class A ships were, before going across the river.
On arriving back on the Liverpool side we went into part of the new Liverpool 1 for a coffee and a scone.
Huge crowds everywhere so as we had to be home to go out for a meal in the evening we had a slow walk round the Albert Dock in the parts not designated for viewing the ships. Then caught the bus home.
After a good meal we got home ready to fall into bed.
A busy day ahead.
