Taken just after the hail storm...

... which left my fingers numb!

Tried manual today, having read the first chapter of "Understanding Exposure". Had practised last night on the dog and headphones, etc, anything really. Thought I was doing okay.

Today took all shots except this one in manual setting. All shots of the celtic cross came out with misty white bit in the middle. What am I doing wrong?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
