Some old things are irreplaceable
Thursday means Anne, she s an absolute live wire. Recently made redundant from the local hospital she has been with me now for about 6 months and i know i am in for a wacky shift from start to finish, and today was no exception. We re planning a trip to the dogs when the weather picks up, i have never been but she promises me its a good night.
This afternoon an impromptu visit from my other half for a quick coffee before i finished and to let me know it was homemade minestrone soup for tea, with nice bread of course.
Home, tea (scrumptious) and a lovely long soak in the bath. Teyon my number 2 passed me the latest now cd to listen to as i relaxed, then it suddenly occurred to me, i don t own a cd player in the house at all, we can play through the tv s but i have no system just my ever beautiful and adored retro radios. This one in my bedroom and my favourite Roberts Retro black one in my kitchen.
For a moment i felt slightly annoyed by this then i looked at the old style radio and realised that listening to this cd would have to wait until in the morning on my way to work in the car.
Now........ am off to make dessert for Ste as he did the soup, am sure if i know Ste it will be something and custard :)
