Small signs of spring

Had a wander around the garden after lunch today and discovered some very welcome signs of spring. The Christmas rose is in flower nearly a month earlier than last year and there are snowdrops in the front garden.

The hydrangea also has new shoots but this one last dried flower head left over from last year provided much better interest for the camera.
