South Leith Parish Church

Back to Leith to South Leith Parish Church. This church dates back 500 years and has indirect connections to the Knights Templer. It has royal connections with Robert the Bruce who was treated for leprocy. William Wallace is also thought to have have written a famous letter to burgers of Marleburg from here. The tower contains four consecutive coats of arms of a royal house, the only place in Sotland where this can be seen.

More recently in 2006 Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster's son Alastair was baptised here.
