Growing old disgracefully

DRIFTING

To Stirling today to have lunch with some very special friends. They have a spectacular new build home - Kevin McCloud would have been stunned by it. It is hard by the castle and has an expansive view over the meandering Forth to the Wallace monument and the snow capped Ochils. There was so much to photograph, but I am still shy of taking pictures in front of others, so the camera stayed in the boot of the car, but the images are imprinted in my memory.
So it was home in the rain and the dark and back to the macro studio where I got up close and personal to a piece of driftwood. Disappointed by how flat it appears here, in reality these curves are etched into the wood, carrying the memory of the waves and the soft soughing of the sea.
