Day Trip
Today we (Bob, two other friends, and I) took a day trip to the other corner of our state, leaving home at 7 am and arriving back at 10:00 pm...a long day. Despite predictions of light snow, the drive down was uneventful, and the visit was great, but the return trip was less than a joy. Snow was falling as we left Dayton and soon the highway was snow covered. Most drivers slowed down to a reasonable speed, but quite a few didn't, and we saw many who had slid off the road and one tractor-trailer that appeared to have slid off an overpass and down an embankment. Thankfully we didn't see any serious crashes involving ambulances, and we arrived home safely. Ohio is a beautiful state with plenty of interesting sights (sites) to see, but we didn't enjoy the sights we saw on this trip.
The significance of the keyboard in this blip is that I have been spending hour after hour after hour in the past week on the computer, importing picture files from my old computer to the new one, trashing the lousy and redundant images, and organizing what's left. Today, in stark contrast to those time-consuming tasks, I didn't touch the computer once. I'll get back to it tomorrow though. It's a big job that I just want to be finished with.
