To work or not to work.

One of the problems with modern medicine is that it focuses so intensively on the speed of recovery after an operation or an intervention. Today an op that would have come with a 10 day stay in hospital if it had been done 20 years ago, can sometimes be done with only a one night sleepover. That's not a bad thing, but it does leave, even seasoned veterans of the NHS, heading home with a view to returning to their normal lives in a totally unrealistic time frame. Even though the medical side of things has been attended to, there's a whole host of other things that need to be fixed as well... and they just take time.

So we are taking time out to just, well, take time out.

The image: the daughter went upstairs to study. The cat went too. The cat didn't want the daughter to study. The daughter didn't really want to study anyway. The cat and the daughter played.
