First attempts!

I've been wanting to learn how to make a quilt for a few months now... and have treated myself to the first couple of issues of The Art of Quilting (whilst it's cheap!)

I sat down today and hand-sewed the blocks for the first two issues. I really enjoyed myself, and am thoroughly surprised that they don't look awful! :D On the whole, I am very pleased and by the end of the day, could see my stitches were neater and I was doing things quicker, so I feel like I've made some progress today.

I've also learnt a few useful things, so I'm pleased about that too!
