Castle rock

Went up to the Farmers Market and bumped into Shandonner - I'm afraid to say that we talked shop for longer than was necessary, making DH glaze over and S's friend make her excuses and leave for the vegetable stall.

I got a photo of the jenny wren who was scolding us loudly in St Cuthbert's Burial Ground, but it wasn't sharp enough to be usable - they are such mobile little creatures! So I had to go with a view of the castle rock; I liked the way the light was falling on it and was very intrigued by the door in the wall. It's the old sallyport - the inscription above isn't readable, but I found it here. When I showed it to DH he commented "Bloody Dundee!" And "Oh, the conventicle!" I was bemused and privately deplore my ignorance of Scottish history. :-(

Hey, the Pars won a game of football! At last!
