This was meant to be .........

.... a shot of possibly the biggest bottle neck in Scotland - the bridge over the Dee, gateway to the granite city. Surely enough reason for Aberdeen to get a bypass. I lived in Aberdeen from 1977 for 9 years and the main road into the city has always been problematic. The proposed bypass has been debated for many years and every time it gets closer another objection is received, a court case is raised and it is postponed on a technicality.

We're in Aberdeen this weekend helping youngest son and partner get their new house into shape. While MOH was busy decorating I escaped down to the Dee to take a pic of the famous bridge.

Unfortunately none of the shots were exciting but when I turned to go back to the car this was behind me!

I rather liked the railings disappearing into the distance.
