A Traveller's Tale......

......the cool sou' westerly was whistling through the industrial units of Granton early this morning when I met our Group Scout Leader for a kit inventory. The plan then was to head up to Glen Lyon having collected Stig, Nancy and fellow Scouter Karen. We were slightly nervous about the forecast of snow in the Perthshire glens, but it never quite got cold enough and Stig's sledge in the boot never saw the light.

A wet and windy inspection of the Meggernie Scout Centre, ahead of next camp in May. I've not been since 1994, and it's changed for the better since those days. In fact, it's a really lovely wee site.

Delicious tomato and chilli soup and fresh crusty bread at the Glen Lyon Post Office and Tea Room was just the ticket before we set off home for Edinburgh. Good to get the venue for the next camp sorted.
