I *heart* Kyoto

Arrived yesterday afternoon and caught up with some friends for an evening of Asahi beer and Japanese Grub in Downtown Kyoto.
I'm feeling a million times better than Mon/Tues but still a bit throaty. Have had a day of temples and shrines in the glorious sunshine today to be followed by another early night, to conserve energy for what will be a LONG weekend!

It's a bit bloomin' hot, but that's what I get for coming in July - although these two look pretty cool in their kimono. I did see a couple of geisha last night but only managed a photo from behind. (One for the blog)

Kyoto - Love it. Would recommend it. At least 3 nights though.
