The beer aroma wheel

A useful tool to describe the complexity of flavours you can get from beers. It helps to describe your sensory perceptions when tasting.
I figured it would be useful for my course, so a bit of cut and paste and here it is. It'll be very useful for all the the experimental brews we will be doing, seeing what difference different malts/hops/yeasts and even water has on a final beer.
I'm also very interested in matching beer and food. Hopefully some courses that I've signed up for, which include beer and cheese and beer and chocolate pairings will help me with this. They will be run by Alex Barlow at tideswell school of food in the peaks. Alex was a co-author to the 'all beer experience' guide and has 25 years broad experience in the brewing industry. I can't wait.

I ordered an offal cookbook this week, so I'll have to try and find some beers that complement some tasty brain fritters. Yum!
The cAt is also on heat. It just makes everything very very awkward. :S
