Tale of Two Cities

I headed down to London this morning to visit S, who moved down there last year. This is my first trip away from home since my operation, so it's going to be a bit of a challenge.

I passed the Scott Monument on my way to Waverley Station, for 10:00 train, it was a dreich morning in Edinburgh. Arrived in London at 15:40 in time to collect keys from S, who has a wonderful view of the Shard, from her office window. The temperature is 6C warmer here, and no rain :)

I really like the Shard, it's already rivalling the Gerkhin as a London icon.
